I have asked multiple times our users to take over this job, but since nobody wants to do this, I'm inclined to just do this myself. This is my personal choice for this vote.

how far into details should this documentation go? i´d like to help, but some features(like the enire extras section) i have no clue how to use them myself (yet)
but i´d definitely be willing to write about the stuff i got an understanding of so far.

Doesn't have to be too in-depth since it's aimed a new users anyways, but you should have a good and solid understanding of how things work. You should def. explain all the options in the config and in the context menu inside mp and explain the chain of events that lead to a correct import of files (to help users understand what can go wrong).

If you'd like to take that on I would be very happy to assist you with any questions and/or clarifications you might have/need/want.

as for the documentation, would it not be best if a wiki was set up with links to in in the config app and on this website. this way everyone can help a little with the documentation

Knock yourself out

I feel there's no need to set up an external site just to host the wiki/documentation etc, so if Inker makes a sticky "MyTV-Series Wiki/Documentation", with links to the wiki-page, people would start edit it/adding pages. At the moment there's no link/info on where to find information, so just making such a sticky thread, would make people contribute to the wiki/documentation. And to be honest, many of the questions asked in the forums here, would be answered by just reading the little that's allready in the wiki....

PS: Thnx to Mavoc who seems to have updated the wiki somewhat (although I'm not sure what) and especially daHive who has contacted me and volunteered to write some more docus. Of course, the wiki is open to everyone, so even if you only write a paragraph about your favourite feature, it's much appreciated.

I just re-organized the whole wiki-page, with subpages.
It should be alot easier to read/get overview over the documentation now. Easier to edit too ^_^

i guess focusing on expanding the wiki documentation makes more sense than starting something new at this point, since jocke has put in so much effort in reorganizing the wiki already(great job btw! ).

Yes, please use the wiki, sorry should have mentioned this clearer.

Someone should also copy/paste the "if you're files arent parsed" sticky topic, maybe add some screenshots so I can remove that topic and replace it with a sticky to the wiki entry.

I think we need a dedicated thread to discuss the wiki, so ask any questions and make any comments regarding this here.

Done. Rewrote it a bit, and fixed screenies.

When it's pointing to google.no, it's not strange Changed it to .com.

edit; I'll be looking over the wiki this weekend to edit typos and other stuff.

Wiki for the "MP Display Control" is a WIP. Are there any other special stuff that should be covered?

I'll be crawling through the forum this weekend aswell, to add typical FAQ's to the FAQ. That should relieve Inker some time spamming the forums, and give more time to write code/fix bugs/etc ^_^

Getting along nicely, but please keep at it

Two wishes:
1) get rid of the upgrade part....seriously upgrade from 0.2? lol
2) somebody should mention the new about screen, and how it can be used to get
a) the builddate (+ time) of the plugin (dll), which I think is easier than the cryptic build numbers, and
b) tells the users all the paths they need to know on their system as they are actually used by the plugin (should get rid of all the I'm on Vista ... where's my fanart questions)
- I wanna cut out as many questions as possible that can easily be answered.

Hope people get around to explaining all the settings soon
