Hey Guys

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing this, i am trying to rebuild my tv series db (trying to see if i can fix those errors i am having with the series not getting displayed correctly!) and for some reason when it is trying to match my series name with the online ID, it is INCREDIBLY slow. I have 192 series it is trying to match, and it is taking approximately 3 minutes per series to bring up a match... even when it only returns one result! The updating of the episodes itself seems fine (Worked like a dream last night when i was fiddling) and it downloads the banners etc fine...

any thoughts?

Well I'm not using MediaPortal but I just tested the interfaces and they are responding at regular speed. I searched for a name that returns 17 series and the interface responds with complete info in 2-3 seconds depending on the refresh. So I don't think it's the site.

Yeah, i think you are right.... something freaky is happening... i dug up an old tv series DB, went through it and deleted all the irrelevant info to keep as many matched ID's to local series names rather than try retrieve them all online at once, and it seems to be working better now... returns info for non-matched series in a few seconds rather than 3-4 minutes PER series... VERY odd.

i was having similar issues when my HTPC was connected via wireless, now that i have a ethernet cable hooking it up to the network the time dropped by a little over a half. still takes longer then i think it should but i can live with it as is.
