    Hi,

I've just finish a fresh MP 1.1.0 RC2 install, and also last StreamedMP 1.0.3, and ticker is working well in basic home screen... but horizontal scrolling is not smooth... it starts jumping little backwards and again towards... I can't see this effect in any horizontal scrolling inside MP (large filenames for instance)...

    Anyone is experiencing this?

    Thanks!

Updated info: it's happening in "Standard Vertical Menu" layout. Horizontal layouts are working almost perfect (little jumps, not important).

Did you have this issue in earlier versions? I installed 1.0.2 first, and I don't remember if I saw this also... I would say yes, but I didn't investigate, so I was still doing startup config and fine tunning my fresh MP 1.1.0 RC2 install...

If this is only happening for say 1 minute on MP start, then it could be a plugin like MovingPictures\TVSeries updating.

Just to be certain, try disabling any unnecessary plugins, does it still happen.

Sounds like a fonts issue, I have seen something similar with strange character encoding.

Try switching Feeds to test that theory.

    Thanks for the attention.

Paranoid Delusion, I don't use Moving Pictures/TV Series plugins. Anyway, It keeps on happening after whatever time you want...

ltfearme, I've tried some rss feeds (including standard MP News RSS Feed), and I can't see an difference... Did you mean this? :(

    Thanks again.

    Re: Ticker not smooth scrolling

As long as I can remember this has always been like this for me. Not just with RSS feed, but to all horizontal text scroller. (long album titles, song titles, video titles etc)

They all start up as normal, after a while, it goes slower and slower until it comes to a completely stop. It take 2-3 minutes before you notice it goes slower (not easy to see), but after 10-15 mins you will see the text scrolls a lot slower. Wait ~10 more minutes, it stop completely.

Then we are not talking about same issues then... It happens as soon as I start MP, and I don't see this effect in any other horizontal scrolling inside MP... In fact, tickers for both horizontal menu layouts doesn't suffer this problem.

    Re: Ticker not smooth scrolling

Ok. I found what's happening in my case. I configured a news separator character that it's not inside default font available characters... This way, font changed to another one, causing this annoying horizontal scrolling.

    Thanks anyway!
