Hi i have around 250Gb free for the tv files and in that i dont keep anything after i have watched them so usually around 200Gb is sitting for timeshifting.

So looking for some help if i need to change any settings in the timeshift file size from default ( min,max size) that would help

    Hello Robert,

200GB only timeshifting is much space, you don't really need such an amount.

See this nice wiki article for more information.

Thanks for the reply, reason for the 200Gb is it is the smallest drive i have left (500Gb) so i keep 250Gb for timeshifting and recording and the rest for the OS.

I read the wiki but am lost as it doesn't help with what would be the best size for the file sizes and also what does the max file size mean

You see in the timeshifting info your drive space amount that is used by MP for timeshifting , if you higher the file size you will see how much space you will need. Forget about the min, max file count, important is the file size.
