When watching Live TV for a certain period of time, TV stops automatically and a dialog "Timeshifting stopped by the TV-Server" appears.

    Why?

    tv.log says 010-08-19 22:54:05.053983 [HeartBeatMonitor(10)]: Controller: Heartbeat Monitor - kicking idle user

I wondered if this could be due to EPG grabbing, as in your other issue, and all you have in your epg.log is

    Code:
    2010-08-19 22:42:04.584844 [TVService(5)]: EPG: grabber disabled
    2010-08-19 22:54:05.187991 [HeartBeatMonitor(10)]: EPG: grabber disabled

The timing of the second entry cannot be a coincidence.

    So...this means that...?

No idea, but hopefully one of the devs will be able to make the connection.

Is this on a single-seat setup?

Yes, a clean single-seat setup which I made a few days ago.

When you say a certain period of time, what are we talking about? 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour ?

When it crashes, if you restart the TV service and try again, is it a similar period of time? I am wondering about your TV card overheating.

re: "Timeshifting stopped by the TV-Server" without a reason

It's not crashing or anything, TV just stops and the dialog appears that the timeshifting has been stopped by TVServer. I can continue watching TV if I manually tune to any channel.

We are talking about minutes here, like 10 min.

If you see the logs, timeshifting started at 22:42 and automatically, without any reason, stopped at 22:54 (Heartbeat Monitor - kicking idle user)

Presumably you have had TV working fine before?

Did this start with 1.1.0, or with release candidates or some other time? If you now try to revert to an older version, does it work okay?

I had perfectly working TV setup with Vista and MP 1.0.2 from the day it was released until now.

re: "Timeshifting stopped by the TV-Server" without a reason

    Hi there,

The only things I can think of that stop TV are:

Powerscheduler (try disabling this on TVServer and see if it helps)
Timeshift buffer is full (different error message)
Config to give priority to recording, than to Live TV

I'm no Dev (and don't know MePo that much), but the Powerscheduler option would be my first point of call.
