This is a plea from a lowly MP user!
I know everyone says this, but I really DO appreciate the fantastic development you all do for MP.
However, when a new plugin is 'released' i.e. announced for download via these forums, could you please provide the names of the skins that support your plugin for the release of MP that it works in? Ideally this would be clear on the main page of your forum post where you announce the latest release and changes.
My first suggestion would be to provide skin files for at least the Blue3 skins, and I mean BOTH 4:3 and wide screen.
My second suggestion would be to recommend a skin that works with your plugin, again in both 4:3 and wide screen.
If only one skin supports the plugin at this point, for testing purposes, then please make that clear.
I realize development is a huge job, so what I propose is a team approach (it is called TEAM MediaPortal after all!). There is a lot of talent in this community, so I suggest that developers work in teams of plugin developer(s), skinner(s) AND documentation 'expert(s)', so the use of all the new features are clearer explained, even before asking users to test it. That should save us all (both developers and users) tons of time and energy solving problems that could easily be avoided.
I'm sure someone can come up with an even better suggestion! But if you agree, you can just hit the Thanks button.
