Hi

I have a news channel. Small black bars in the sides, right and left. In the bottom runs/scrolls news headlines, like CNN and BBC.

IFC identifies the black bars in the sides and crops the image, which mean it crops a little of the top and bottom.
Normally that wouldn't be a problem for a regular image, but because this cut off some of the news headline running.

So have can I set that IFC may ONLY crop, to get to full screen?
It must NOT remove anything from the image.

I prefer black bars and still have either the full height or the full width of the images.

The problem possible is that the running news headlines in the bottom are white text on black background. Perhaps IFC doesn't detect this as the image?

I had had this on some videos with embedded subtitles - IFC doesn't recognise the subtitles and crops too far.
I would like to know if there is a solution...
