Using MP means a lot of freedom with configurations. But this also means that main stream people will find it hard to configure.
I would like a central place which to configure Audio/Video, which has options for things like Surround Sound setup (simply users), Codec merits (for advanced users of course), etc.
Is it possible to be able to specify in one place, 5.1 surround sound and all codecs would use that setting (even if that means mixing up).
Perhaps it would be easier to include a version of ffdshow which could be configured within MP/MPconfig utility, as ffdshow can play many formats.
