Too much work done when adding a single episode to the database? (1 Viewer)

While MP is running and on TVSeries, as soon as a single episode is sent to the server and TVSeries picks it up, it seems as though the waiting loop just sits there for over an hour! I went through the logs and every time it adds a single episode, it goes through my entire collection (hundres of series) and looks for all new artwork, fanart, episode images, user ratings, and favourites.

I know of the option "Watch my Import folders for changes automatically", so maybe I'm wanting an option to only check for changes to recently updated series (since last full scan) instead of basically doing a full scan on each change.

I still think instantly adding an episode is important, so I want to avoid removing the "watch" setting.

I think I may have found a bug with the monitor. Just left my HTPC on all night, came back in this morning (nothing has been added to server since I made the previous thread, and it's STILL working. May I please PM the log to a dev that can look at this?


It updates the entiredatabase (artwork and all) and only adds one episode at a time. (copied the entire folder at once with 12 episodes and it is on it's 9th loop and 9th episode of doing a full update).

(All of the above was done while it was getting FanArt for all my series)... Then after that was completed, it only adds s02e01 of the above and does a full scan, then does the same for s02e01, and so on... runs all night!
