You could alsotry posting some more information about the card. It's possible someone else has the same model and might be able to provide tips, but without knowing eactly what it is (apart from Toshiba) it's not very likely.

Toshiba Usb Hybrid DVB tv tuner
Hello and tks for your kind help!!!
Unfortunately Toshiba Usb Hybrid DVB tv tuner is the better definition I can provide. Iis a sort of pen tuner that you plug in the usb port.
The thread you gave me is a little difficult for me to undestand, I am a sort of beginner in tv cards and all this stuff..
Anyway, I checked the xml file CaptureCardDefinitons and my Toshiba is not in there. Maybe this is the point.
Could anyone provide the list of this card so I could write it inside this file?

I tried to fix the problem with your suggestions but i am really not good at it...
It looks that i am not able to find the filters...
anyway, the tuner works correctly with its software, savvy tv, but is is so poor...
What i really need is the xml listing...

Actually I solved this myself. I did have the correct driver (it was the only one which would work). But on the drivers download page, there was an additional item called "TBS6281se V2 Change Mode Tool". There was zero documentation to accompany this. I downloaded it and ran it. It is a tool to detect the current run state of both...

My previous TBS PCI-E card failed, so I bought another one. The model I chose is the TBS 6181-SE, which can be seen on Amazon here...
