Total Noob: IR Suite and Centarea Master Remote II (1 Viewer)

Since yesterday i ve this remote: Centarea Master Remote II
Centarea Master Remote II - Centarea HTPC Shop

A User tell me, that the Suite can work with my remote, but i dont know how.
perhaps anyone can help me and post a small Tutorial.

Have you read the IR Server Suite documentation - it is very comprehensive and should get you started?

If you have any specific queries, after reading the documentation, post them here and I am sure we can guide you through it ...

I think RTV has already done something here for you.
In the recent changelog I saw this entry:

MediaPortal Remotes
01/04/2008 [09:52h] rtv added: support Centarea Master Remote II as MCE remote clone

So if you apply an SVN from the last day or two, then you should have "out of the box" support with MP as long as you activate the MCE remote support in the MP remote config section.
If you want more features, you can wait until Aaron isn't as busy and he may well come up with something too

@Taipan: Yes, i ve read this. But i dont know what i should do. i play with the programms, but nothing happens (Translator). And Autodetect dont found a remote.

I can't be sure if this is a proper MCE remote, but have you tried installing the MCE replacement driver?

Can you give me a screen shot of your Device Manager with the remotes driver showing?

Also, you could try one of the HID remote plugins that are around ... you could try enabling General HID in MediaPortal, or you could try the Custom HID plugin in IR Server Suite...

I assume you're running Windows XP too?

Yes, but installation is not possible, i dont know why.

Yes, WinXP Prof. with SP2, incl all updates until Jan.08

i ve try to activate different remote in the Setup (MCE, General HID,...). If i push the Detect Button, the Tool found nothing, only my other X10 Remote.
If i select the MCE and after this i open the Translator, i try the Button "NEW". Then a Window open that i shell push a Button. But nothing happens if i push the Remote Button, unfortunately .

In IR Server Suite it wont detect the custom hid component, you need to set it up yourself.

some log files from IR Server Suite would be handy too.

As first i select Custom HID in Input Service Configuration. After this, i start the Translator and push the Button NEW in Programs. After this a Window open "New Remote Button". If i press a Button on the Remote, nothing happens.
