I've just started with this programm but unfortunately the tracks from inserted Audio CD's are not displayed (i tried several), hence i can not rip CD's. I'm using the newest Version (27.05.09) on WinXP SP3 MP doesn't have any issues in ripping from CD. When you tell where the Logfiles are saved I will add them.

    2. Insert the CD and then start MPTagThat

For some reason your Drive D:\ is not treated as a CD, but as a standard directory.
Also the Media Change Monitor does not detect that a CD has been removed and reinserted.

Could it be that another task is blocking access to the drive?

I dont think that any other Task is blocking the Drive.
Is it possible that a disabled autorun(in the Registry) can cause this issues?

I have now tried (and succeeded) to reactivate the Autostart. I also changed a value under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\UserDefaults to MSPlayCdAudioOnArrival, after that i was able to rip CD's, BUT only when i first start MPTagThat and then insert an audio CD.
The funny thing is that after two CD ripped CD's my CD-ROM "disappeared" (appeared again after reboot).

    Here Comes another Question:
is it possible to Manual Search the online Database for an album of not yet ripped CD?
    AND
is it possible to Enter the Interpret and the Trackname in the rip window for the single Tracks on the CD?

Totally weird. something must be totally wrong on your PC.
Normally, i'm detecting the insertion and removal of a CD and react on it

You mean search FreeDB? That's done, when you insert a CD.
But i'm not opening a query window, which allows searches.
Is that what you ask for?
What would be the purpose of it?
What do you want to do with the results of the search?

is it possible to Enter the Interpret and the Trackname in the rip window for the single Tracks on the CD?

Sure you can enter the information, before you start the rip. by clicking in the grid and changing the values.

That is exactly what I ask for. The purpose of this is as follows:
An Audio CD of mine(exactly a 2CD Best of from Louis Armstrong) which I wanted to rip was not displayed with the correct Information in fact there was no information at all (only Track1, Track2,..) I suppose this is rooted in the Fact that the CD doesn't comes with the needed Information. In this Situation it could be very useful to search manual in the FreeDB.

What I exactly ment (but not wrote) was: Is it possible to edit more then ONE field in the grid at the same time, for example the Interpret field for a selection of Tracks.
