MediaPortal Version: MediaPortal 0.2.1.0 Feature Release
Windows Version: XP SP2
CPU Type: Dual P2.4Ghz
HDD: 300GB+
Memory: 1024MB

I've been recording .ts files with another program and I was using MediaPortal 0.2.0.2 to play them back and my little issue was that if I tryed playing the file while it was still recording, I could not jump forwards correctly. Now with MP 0.2.1.0 seams to have fixed that, but now I have another bigger problem.

ANY .ts file that is/was recorded when I try playback with MP 0.2.1.0 it starts playback at about -5 seconds from the end of the file. I can jump to the begining, but it is very annoying to do so.
how can I fix this?

Media Portal remembers where you stopped viewing video files, maybe your new files have the same name and MP thinks they are the same so want to resume where you left them.

Unfortunately I don't know where is this information stored. In my HTPC I store all movies on the same folder, and there is a file called PCM.db, it might be this one.

igalan: they are unique files. Also MP asks you if you would like to continue from where you have left off of. that feature is fine. pehaps that file also contines a value of where to begin .ts streams from?
What I have noticed that the first time I load up MP, it plays normaly from the begining of the first .ts file. After that it will always pick the end of the file about 5 seconds. Which is about anough time to ether press pause or type 0000 to start at the begining of the file. (That feature is okay when your playing a file that is still recording because it's like watching a live stream.)

ziphnor: I use "DVB TV Web Scheduler" you can search for it easily. It uses the same XML format for TVGuides. I loaded the web browser plugin for MP so that I can add to the already Auto scheduled programs. Another benifit of it being web based is if your away from home and get told about something that is on, you can set it up so that all you need to do is access the internet to get it to record the new program.

I don't know the structure of TS files, but I know that Media Portal stores the position where you stopped watching any move somewhere else, because it also works when playing files on DVD-ROM. Knowing which is this file could help you; if it's a MP database, you could edit its contents to avoid this problem.
