I am trying to install a twinhan dvb-s ci 1034 card into my system. I would be using Austar on Optus C1 satellite. Media Portal setup detects the card but when i try to scan for channels nothing is detected.

I intend to replace my Austar box with this setup Austar box is currently working it has the spongebob smart card installed and so I know that the LNB and smart card are OK.

I am using a CAM https://www.hotchip.com.au/OnlineStore/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=133.

If I try the software package that was supplied with the twinhan card it also fails to detect any signal. Should this software (ver 2.65) be able to display that the CAM is detected. I dont have the machine in front of me at the moment but remeber their was a tab that when selected looked like it should display CAM information but this was blank. There is also FTA on this bird but that is not detected either.

How can I prove whether the problem is with the Twinhan card or the CAM.

Cheers Mal
