Synopsis::

I'm new to the scene, and been trying MP for a couple of days now. I'm having problems with TV playback, it's very sluggish, like freezes every 2 seconds or so. I've tried many codecs, but all have the same problem.
I'm runnig GF 6150 integated grafix chip, currently it has 64megs of physical memory, rest is pagefile.

Not sure about "video renderer type", is it VRM9 or overlay... :oops:

    There are a few things to check,

    Does the TV card work ok with the huappage app?
    If so, this will rule out driver issues. I understand the Huappage drivers are quite tricky to set up.

    Is your hard disk set to UDMA? This will cause speed issues with recording large files.

    have you applied the updates listed in "Tips and Tricks" for better tv viewing (there are a couple by Frodo that may help).

    maye increase the memory size of the onboard gfx. MP uses the texture memory quite a bit so maybe it will help. If not, change it back.

    Are you running in directx exclusive mode? (MP Config/Genera)

    There are so many different things with TV, these are really just a start, but will help to eliminate the obvious things.

    Good luck :)

    Problem solved! I used a T-splitter(1-->2) in my antenna cable to split it betveen TV and my livinroom PC. Removed thet and it works. Odd, it is not supposed to harm the signal...

    heheh, so obvious, but I would never have thought to suggest that.

    PS, Splitters do decrease the signal strength. Even amplified ones degrade the signal slightly, they just amplify it first but this can introduce noise.

    Anyway, glad it is now working.
