Summary:
A workaround to get the Genpix SkyWalker-1 working in MP?

Description:
Would it be a feasible approach to use TSReader (the app from coolstf, not the filter) to tune to the correct channels and then stream it through MP?
Skywalker-1 has great support for TSReader and AFAIK you can tune a channel from the command line for TSReader or even what they call the Control Server (commands sent to a TCP port). I would assume it would be possible to write some code that when changing channel you simply tell TSReader what to tune-in through command line or the Control Server.

Bump

I know the Genpix has been discussed a lot, but does anyone know if my suggestion is even remotely possible?

Just picked up a skywalker-1 which means I'll be moving away from Mediaportal. I really like mediaportal but...

2 Items:

1) There's someone (finally) seriously working on a driver for the Skywalker for Mediaportal over on DVBN.

2) DVBSBridge for DVBDream will work with Mediaportal using the skywalker-1. I have it working. HD channels broadcasting in MPEG-2 work fine. EPG data passed through. DVBSBridge and still working on the h.264 passthrough.

can you describe how exactly you got the EPG data into MP from the bridge? I currently have h264 working (somewhat) with genpix/dvbsbridge/MP combination. I have EPG parsing turned on in the bridge setup. what else do i need to do?

The EPG parsing in DVBsbridge is not the best for NA. I had the best luck using an XMLTV extractor for mytheatre or dvbdream and then importing that xmltv file into MP.
