Hi,

I have two htpcs, one with a KNC1 working great and another one with a tt 3200 which can´t find channels (most freqs "NO SIGNAL") besides from provider "BSKYB".
On the exact same PC I tried MythTV where the card work as a charm.
I tried win7 32 Bit, win 7 64 Bit, WinXP 32 Bit with drivers from tt-pc.de V5.0.1.8 and V5.0.3.5. None of these combinations work.

Scanning channels for 28,2E works perfectly, scanning ASTRA 19,2E only finds channels from the provider "BSKYB"

I´m kinda puzzled as the same PC running MythTV finds all channels (ARD, ZDF, SKY etc.) and I can watch them.
Again: on the exact SAME hardware.

Any Ideas?

---------UPDATE------------
Channelscan on 28,2E also finds only BSKYB ....
Kind regards
Bernd

    Hi

Please post your TV Server logs showing a scan that fails to pick up channels from Astra 19.2. There is a link in my signature with instructions if you don't know how to post logs...

How are you switching between satellites?

The only channels that I see being picked up are channels from Astra 28.2e. So far as I know there are no BSkyB channels on 19.2e...

We have two quad-lnb and a switch in the attic. same hardware finds all channels using mythtv.
When I exchange the tt 3200 with a knc1 all channels can be found.
in the scan-gui i choose only 1 sat, Astra 19.2E. Don´t know why it finds bskyb channels, I´m not too shure either wether there are bskyb channels on astra 19.2E.

I guess it could be a problem with the driver (or OS) because dvblink tv source find the same channels as MP.

Only MythTV on Linux finds the correct channels and I am able to watch them without problems (even SKY PayTV with CI+card)

The tt 3200 i a complete different PC shows the same behaviour. (Win7 32, MP 1.1.2, Driver V5.0.1.8 or V5.0.3.5)

SOLVED: Re: tt 3200 channel scan "NO SIGNAL"

switching the Diseqc from "NONE" to "SimpleA" did the magic. Whereas it doesn´t make any sense to me, as on the same cable a KNC1 card works with Diseqc set to none (as do all of my Sat-receivers).

    Hi again

Glad you got it working. :)

If you have two LNBs and a switch then it only makes sense that you would need to apply the right command to receive channels from the LNB that you wanted to pick up. The fact that other receivers and tuners in the house work with DiSEqC = none seems like luck to me. Either the switch was set on the right setting on those outputs already or the tuner drivers apply DiSEqC port 1/simple A if you set "none" (which is actually common).

    For future reference:
    - channels on Astra 19.2e are here
    - channels on Astra/Eurobird 28.2e are here
