Tuning a Dual Haupppage card (1 Viewer)

I have a Hvr-2210 Hauppauge Card which has twin tuners. I just tried to record a TV show and watch another and got the "no free card available" message. I only tuned one card on setup as I presumed (probably stupidly) that it would carry to the second card.

Do I need to tune both cards?

As Swamprat said, you have to tune both/all cards. Well actually, you can just map the scanned channels from one card onto the other, but I much prefer tuning them all. The vast majority of times the channels available on one card are also going to be available on the others, but what if you had a DVB-T and a DVB-S? then the channels are going to be different. In this case you definitely wouldn't want to map all channels to all cards.

I wish I had worked that out about mapping- found it now. As the card is a dual tuner I probably could have just mapped both. Ah well next time I'll know
