Hi there
Hoping i can get some assistance diagnosing the problem associated with my tv service.
The problem appears to be that after suspend resume I cant watch tv and any schedule programs do not record
I have attached the log for info.
I have scoured the forum but cant seem to find a suitable solution.

Chances are, you need a couple of settings activated, both are found in tvserver config.

First if a T500DT, then under general settings enable a delay of 20 seconds before detecting tv card (might need slightly more\less, depending on how fast your system is).
Secondly, under plugins, powerscheduler should have the re-initialize tuner option enabled.

Hopefully one or both of the above should sort things out.

According to your specs you are using a very old driver 25080, 27240 I think is the latest, you will need to delete your old cards from TVServer before upgrading driver and retuning I'm afraid.

When the system resumes, I take it the tuners show up as type "unknown" in tvserver config, does windows Device Manager show no problems with them.

Hi Paranoid Delusiions, once again thankyou for your siggestions.
I have updated the driver as you said but still no luck.
When you said delete old card from tvserver what do you mean by that ?
I have since uninstall mediaportal and reinstalled it and still no luck.
When the system resume the tuners does show up as being "unknown" but was fine and recognised before entering resume????.
Windows device manager show no probs with them.
I am at a lost of what to do next.

On top of all this I now cant seem to turn off mediaportal being auto loaded upon windows bootup .....have uncheched in the config managger but it still occuring.

    Think i am just jinxed.

    Any help appreciated.

OK can you test by coming out of resume, opening task manager\services, use the services button link, when in the service panel find tvservice, right click on it and stop service, wait a minute and then restart service.

Now if you go to tvserver config are the cards showing up correctly.

ps use Ray or PD, too long nick :)

    Hi Ray,
Had a bit of time to do some investigation today.
    Problem is still occuring.
I have attached what the TVserver config looks like after resume for your info.
Subsequent to the resume i also did your test and it looks like the card gets inititated ok (See second screen grab).
Have also noticed that since updating the driver I can put the system to sleep and it will wake up and record ok.
However if the system puts itself to sleep then when it wakes up it wont record and the card recognition issue occurs.
    So frustrated ! arrrghhhh

    Hope u can help

    Cheers

Can you try a ridiculously high value for the detection delay (say 180 sec)?
Don't forget to increase the pre-wakeup time in PowerScheduler to compensate for the delay.

If it always works with such a high value, you can then gradually lower it down until you find the minimum value that still works every time.
