I'm a new user and have installed Mediaportal for the first time.

However I can't get any tv functionality to work.

Mediaportal seems to pick up my tv card as the wrong card.

In device manager it's called:
Pinnacle PCTV 7010ix Dual analog, DVB-T. DVB-S

and Mediaportal (in the TV server configuration) picks it up as:
Pinnacle PCTV 3010ix
(and picks up the six tuners as per device manager)

This card has six tuners in one pci card 2 x analogue, 2 xDVB-T and 2x DVB-S.

However I'm not trying to do anything complicated here and get all 6 working just one DVB-T will do which is what I have working fine in Windows 7 media centre at the moment.

If I scan for channels in the TV server configuration it won't find any signal on any of the DVB-T or analogue tuners. (no signal going to DVB-S at the moment so not using that).

Any ideas what I can do to get this working? (The different cards may or may not be an issue it's just something I've observed so could be the case - bear in mind this is my first time using this so I could be missing something basic that I'm not aware of).

Setup details:

I'm using Windows 7 x64 RTM.
TV tuner as above
and I'm on Mediaportal 1.1.0 (but when it loads up it says 1.04.2349)
(the mediaserver says version 1.04.234 - I let mediaportal auto download it)

Thanks

Hi, Have you found a solution yet? I am having exactly the same problem. My card is also a Pinnacle 7010ix and MP is telling me its a 3010ix and it can't find any channels when it scans.
Cheers.
