Hi,
I have just setup MP. So far I like what I see - well done everyone.

I am using the TV Server running under Win Vista Home Premium, with a Haupauge 7164 dual DVB tuner card.

I have some questions:
All TV chanels are saying 'No Info' and all TV guides are blank. What config item do I need to check? The channels themselves are fine.

How can I change the on screen time display to 24hr format? My Regional settings are all 24hr.

I downloaded local TV channel logos and tried to follow the directions for installing them, but the settings screen I found does not match the description and I could find no mention of logo file names. Do I need to configure this in the client or server? And exactly where?

Thanks for any help,
dafi

    1. you need to configure a tv guide source. either use dvb stream (TV EPG Grabber in TV Server config) or use xmltv in the tv server plugins (you will need an xmltv giude source for this, like icetv, shepherd, epgstream, or one of the options in the Forum for "australian TV guide")

    2. the channel names are as listed in the tv server config. on mine, its:

    SBS ONE
    SBS TWO
    ABC HDTV
    ABC2
    7 HD Digital
    7 Digital
    Nine HD
    Nine Digital
    One HD
    One Digital

You just name the icon files to correspond with the channel names.

    3. dont know about the clock

    Thanks for the suggestions.

The DVB-T card tuners are configured for 'Grab EPG=yes' but I still have 'No data available' below the preview screen and in all TV Guide slots. ??

Renaming the logo files did the trick :)

As for the clock - are you guys seeing it displayed in 24 hr mode or not?

    Cheers

    Hi there :)

If you go to MP Configuration, then plugins, you will find the HOME plugin under Window plugins. Configure it. There is a setting fot long time format (with seconds) at the bottom. This is the only way I could manage to get the time in 24h format. But the seconds is a bit distracting in my opinion. Tested with B3W as well as StreamedMP.

:D Just what I needed. I can live with the seconds, but it would be nice to have the option. Strange that various date formats are provided but none for the time!

I still haven't solved the 'No data' problem on the DVB-T channels. :(

    Grab EPG now working

Got it working. I had enabled Grab EPG but hadn't found the page where I had to tick which channels it is to grab.

    Better doco would be wonderful!

I'm not sure where that is in the doco but I didn't find it. I had searched the doco for the error messages I was getting 'No data available' and 'no info' with no results. The piece you quote also doesn't mention that it not only affects the guide, but what is shown below the screen in the preview window.

I guess what would be better is if it defaulted to 'Grab EPG' on and all channels ticked, so on a new installation you would see something, then you could worry about seeing less if you want to.

Is there a way to print out the Manual or can it only be read on line?

On a related subject, I am now trying to get FM Radio to work. My Hauppauge tuner has an FM receiver built in. I have added two FM radio channels to the Radio channel list, but when I hit 'Preview' it says 'No tuning info available for this channel'. I have prgrammed the frequency under the 'FM Radio' tab. What else do I need to tell it?

In the doco it just says:
    Radio Cards

    * Map stations to radio card

    How?

    Cheers,
