After 'fixing' a previous bugby driver that reset my PC, i know have a different problem that i didn't have previously. I can record TV fine and open the files directly with Windows Media Player but if i try and open it in MP it just freezes up. I have to kill MP in task manager.
It sounds heaps like this but thats over a year old and is listed as fixed.

Logs attached.

We need MP's log too to help out here since the player is used in MP. The error.log sounds for me like a wrong password, but I am not an expert on this side.

Based on your logfile you need to first fix your MySQL-connection. Seems tv-client cannot access host named "htpc". So check that mysql-server is running on that host and that there's port 3306 open in the firewall for it.
