    Hello,

when switching channels, the TV Client sometimes hangs - with a black screen and sometimes showing up a still image of the previous channel.

Mediaportal Client is still fully responsive in that situation. If I go to the TV Menu and select "TV On" to recycle the TV all works again fine.

On Server side (remote computer) I can clearly see that all selected channels are working and timeshifting.

I changed already TV Cards, re-installed everything and changed the video/audio codes.

    Any help is appreciated.

    TV-Server Version: 1.0.2
    MediaPortal Version: 1.0.2
    MediaPortal Skin: Blue3
    Windows Version: WinXPSP3
    1. TV Card: Hauppauge HVR 2200 (8980) and Terratec 2400

I have the same problems. When I stop the TV stream and then select an other channel it works. But switching channels while watching TV causes the problem.

    Any ideas on this problem?

Strange thing is that on my Windows 7 machine it runs fine but on my clean Vista SP2 with no additional codecs is does not.

Exact - this is the problem I can reproduce. On different TV-Cards. But: mostly switching to some descent channels. Some show the behavour more frequently. OS here: WinXP Pro En SP3

Solved it. I found some other post related to this issue.
I solved my issue by using the hostname (instead of the IP address) of the TV server in the TV configuration.
I also added the TVserver and Client hostname & IP in the hosts file and made my client IP fixed instead of DHCP.
Did the same thing in the hosts file on the TVserver.

Ok, I have to try this workaround on my setup.

However, even if it will work - this is in my opinion still only a workaround for a unresolved bug.

Try to post some logs later on (@work now).

Looks like my domain is lost or something?? Internet connection seems ok.
