TV doesn't start - unknown error (1 Viewer)

I'm very new with this - so apologies for stupid questions. I have installed MP OK on my XP system however when I try to run TV playback I get the "unknown error" message. I had 1.1.1 installed and have now installed 1.1.2 as a fresh install but the problem persists. Any advice is appreciated!

So as to not waste anyone's time please note that I have got everything going now. I updated the TV card driver and rescanned the channels - now all is OK.
