Hi, I have a very strange problem: I can watch tv just fine, I can change channels, I can stop and start tv also, BUT if I play a video for some time, the card locks up and MP freezes if I try to watch a channel. Now, what is very strange about that is that the problem appeared a couple of weeks ago, and is persistent across reinstalls of both MP and windows. Another strange thing is that when this happens I can watch tv with another program (i.e. progdvb) while MP is running something that I think shouldn't be happening.

What I've tried so far:
-Reinstalling MP a few times
-Reinstalling windows
-switching memory
-using different codecs
-testing the tv card on another pc

Nothing worked so I came to the last resort. I will be grateful if I can restore my tv viewing habits to their default state :)

TV Server Service Freeze after a vew minits, only a reboot of the System brings it back - EPG dosen't refresch, too.

A restore of a Image of the MP System with a old image what was working fails, too.

Issue fixed, disabled DVB EPG and all is fine. Some channel was causing the issue

Athesis:
It's not the same issue at all, sorry. You have a [SetupTV] error in your logs. I suspect something to do with your TVserver config. Maybe you have the option to restart tvservice and reinitialize card enabled? Try to disable it.

Hello, Since windows 7 is not supported yet by microsoft, I migrated from windows 7 x64 to windows 10 x64. I have a server on which a WinTV-quadHD card is installed. I really wanted MP to work but I downloaded NextPVR and HDhomerun. HDhomerun picked up all my channels right away and I can watch them there. I don't have NextPVR working yet so I don't get any TV guide or able to record. But it's closer than I've been before. I don't understand why HDhomerun can pick up my channels and MP picks them...

I personally haven't received any PM, but either way, I don't think there's much more that I can offer you. Owlsroost is the expert when it comes to problems with client-side playback. As I've previously said, I don't read too much into this. This is partially right and partially wrong. Yes, MediaPortal has a service ("TV Server" /...
