Where should I start seeking the problem in following case or is this problem handled somewhere else in this forum:

When I enter TV and activate it, I can change tv channels as long as I stay on small window. But nearly 95 % of cases when entering full screen mode or epg windows stucks and audio keeps on running. I have no idea what I have done different on those 3 cases of 50 when tv has been running normally in full screen mode. Supprising is that when it works once I can easily change between full and partial screen mode without getting the bug on.

    Hi,

Try enabling/disabling "use exclusive DirectX Mode - avoids tearing" in setup -> general. If disabling it helps, then your video card and/or drivers could be the ones to blame.

    Kind regards,

    yippee!

    You are the man!

Works now when I disabled the selection. Now I just have to seek answer on what am I missing when this is disabled... :)

Hi, I have the same problem. When activating full screen mode the video freezes but audio continues. No problems with EPG. I tried enablling/disabling exclusive DirectX mode, but this doesn't solve the problem.

Please tell us more about your hardware/setup then (i.e. use the support template as well). Specifically what brand/model video card are you using? Also, please attach a MediaPortal.log from when the problem appears (preferrable a full log).

    Kind regards,
    Michel

Please read the sticky post in this forum section, so you know what to do for future support requests.

From the log it shows you're trying to switch MediaPortal from windowed mode to fullscreen mode while video/tv is playing. This is a known issue with MediaPortal. You can work around this by switching to fullscreen before starting video.

Disabling the "exclusive DirectX" option only helps (sometimes) when fullscreen video is shown instead of MP's GUI and the screen becomes black. This is something different than completely switching the MediaPortal app from windowed to fullscreen, and vice versa.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

Just found this oldish thread which is exactly the problem I am having. As Michel suggested I deseclected the "exclusive Direct X mode" and this did fix the problem although now I get occasional tearing of the TV picture. Is there anything else that I can do, I have the leatest drivers for everything. Will the TV Engine V3 that I am reading about fix this issue?

    Thanks!
