[no Bug] TV Guide Border Highlight Problem ... (1 Viewer)

Hi All ....

I experience some program items in the 1.3.0A TV Guide which will not select/ highlight with border highlight option ....

The Border option highlights the previous and subsequent program items , but skips over the program item of issue ....
This only happens with occaisional program items ....
The problem only occurs when Time per block is increased from the default 30 Minutes to either 45 Minutes [ Which I like to use ] or 1 hour ......

The problem does not occur with background highlighting option [ Non border highlighting ] ....
The problem does not occur in default scale of 30 minutes per block ....
The problem is hard on when it occurrs ....

To demonstrate the problem ....
1 ... Set up TV Guide Border Highlighting in MP Config ....
2 ... Start MP and navigate to TV Guide ....
3..... Change time per block to 45 Minutes or 1 Hour .....
4 ... Run mouse pointer over all displayed programs ...
5 ... If all ok then move to next page ....
6 ... Experience here is that some occaisional programs will not border highlight ... and are unable to be selected !!

Further note ..... Some items seem to only to select over the front portion of the displayed program item ...

This is not a showstopper issue , and reverting to Non Border highlighting or default time per block enables correct operation ......

I can't reproduce this problem. Tried both 45 & 60 minutes per block settings and all programs can be selected on every day.

I hope I'm not embarking on another waste of your time here !! ......
But I feel I should provide this feedback in case it is a real bug ...

Ran MP 130A in debug mode a few moments ago .... Monday 03-09-12 7.50pm ...
TV Guide in 45 Minutes per block mode ... Border highlighting selection mode .....
Problem showed for following program ...
"Charmed " ... Channel 11 .. Tuesday 4-9 12.00pm - 1.00 PM [ Times estimated as unable to select ] .....
Problem hard on .... previous program and following program select ok .....
Moving mouse pointer horizontally ,Highlight boarder snaps from previous Program to following program without selecting the issue program .....
Logs attached .......[DOUBLEPOST=1346667980][/DOUBLEPOST]One more item which may be pertinent with this " Border Highlight " problem I am experiencing ..........

I normally page the TV guide by a mouse click on the FF button on the top bar .....
With the " time per block " set to 45 minutes, this gives me continuous pages of TV program without gaps or overlap .....

When I encounter a " Can't select " item, moving the TV guide a little left or right using keyboard arrow keys enables the issue program to be selected .....

Don't know whether this is pertinent to the problem .....

Logs are clean (as expected). Just tried it again and now i had 2 or 3 programs that weren't selectable with the mouse, but when i use the keyboard to navigate, they are selectable. Somehow it seems that some program borders aren't correct for mouse selection.

The Wiki mentions (see bottom of page) that all skins are NOT fully compatible with mouse navigation, so i don't think this is a bug (since it works with keyboard navigation). I do understand that it can be a bit annoying...

maybe @ajp8164 can comment on this.

Thanks Homey .......... At least I am not uniquely experiencing these things ........... !

Pleased that you were able to replicate my observations ....
Not a big issue as workaround is so easy [ As you say ] .... Just wanted the builder to get the info ......

NOTE FOR TV GUIDE USE ...
I have commented before [ for the record] , I prefer background red selection for nominated record items rather than the red dot ....
And blue background for highlighting is fine so I am happy to use that ......

Since 1.3Alpha there are genre colors available in the TV Guide, and a red program means a Movie genre. That's probably why the change was needed and recorded TV shows got the 'dot'.
