[TV] just sound, no picture (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: XP Pro SP3
CPU Type: Celeron 2.66

I have just installed MediaPortal 1.02. I installed the TV Server on my Win2k3 Server R2 (Quad Xeon, 4GB Ram, Hauppauge DVB-S 88x), and the MediaPortal Client on an old XP SP3 machine (Celeron 2.66, 1GB Ram, Onboard Sound, Radeon 9250).
When i turn tv on with my client an application on the taskbar pops up (ActiveMovie Window) and i can only hear my tv channel, but there is no picture at all. The whole client is kind of frozen, except the sound playing.
I installed ffdshow and PowerDVD 9 because i thought it might be a codec problem, but the problem remains unchanged.

What can i do?

I switched from "VMR9" to "EVR" and now i have a picture!

Just out of interest, where did you find this setting? I'm Very new to all this and have the same problem at the mo...

Out of my head i'd say MediaPortalConfiguration -> VideoRenderer

For those new to Media Portal like myself, to change this setting, launch the Media Portal Configuration in Advanced Mode, the setting to change is under Direct Show Filter Control > Video Renderer Settings

Changing this setting to EVR fixed this issue for me also. Interestingly I installed the Media Portal Client on 4 Computers, all with XP and similar software setup but different hardware. I only encountered this issue on one of the four computers. I am guessing this issue is associated with certain video cards or their drivers. I have a Radeon 9250 AGP card with the latest ATI drivers on the computer with this issue.
