Hi,

I am using the non sever version of MP with latest SVN, as I could never get TV3 to record reliably. Problem is when watching TV, the picture and sound randomly freeze for anything up to 2-3 minutes. I am using a fast Athlon dual core with 1 Gig memory and Nvidia 6200, tuner is Nova T-500. I do not lose any content when this happens, it just starts again where it left off. I am using Purevideo decoders, but I have had this before on another machine, and I do not think this makes any difference, however I will go through and try some others. Anyone else had this problem?.

Another quite unrelated issue, and not really a MP thing. My DVI connected TV will only show a picture if if the TV is on and set to the correct video input, then the PC booted. I can then switch between TV channels etc, and get back to MP as needed. Not sure if it is my TV, or the video card. This of course means if I go to standby, I cannot get a picture on return. As I say, it is not really an MP thing, but it would be interesting if anyone else has this problem, perhaps I need to somehow force the video card to always use the DVI output?. Any advice always welcome.

If your only connection to the graphics card, then this is what will be selected.

Must say once a particular HDMI input selected on my Philips, that's where it stay's unless manually changed.
May well be that your TV defaults to another setting, or HDMI input activates the connection (rather like the pin 8 on a scart socket changing input) which no pc graphic card i know of can do.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to try TV3 again to see if I can resolve anything.
    Regards
