problem :
i have 1 tvserver and 4 clients
if i update a tv logo channel i have to reinstall it on each client

suggestion :
1 - Should it be possible to put the tv logo channels on the server to avoid installation on each client ?
The logo channels could be install and update on the fly on the client with a background task or when the tvguide is loaded or updaded
2 - improve the speed of tvguide update

or perhaps have the option in the configuration to specify the location of the thumbs folder so it can be configure , that way you can choose to be on a external machine or another drive letter?

I think this would be a very good idea.

It would also be good if you could syncronise other settings between clients. For instance, if you could speify a skin in TVServer and it pushes that out to the clients, same with the weather settings etc.

I know there are instances that you would want different clients to have different settings, but I can imagine that the majority of poeple heavily using the client server functionality will have similar enough client setups to make this useful.

Reviving this topic since I am having the excact same thought. I was hoping it was possible to put my TV channel Logos in a folder on the server, and then it would send them to the clients. Any way of doing this?

    Don't think so.

I can't imagine we'll see this feature in the current MP codebase. Perhaps with the more modular and network aware MP2 though.
