After doing a clean instal of the alpha release yesterday everything worked fine! But after starting my pc today and trying to watch tv, i don't see any channels, no guide and all kinds of indications in the GUI that it is missing a lot of required information. I attached the logs.

Edit: I see the tv server log files were not cleared, the errors about CIMenu can be ignored.

i had a similar problem... could figure out 2 issues:

    1. the client (client tab in mediaportal configuration) is set to "hide all channels group"
    2. there is no "real" connection to the tvserver or its database (don't know exactly, where it hangs, but after restarting tvserver it worked fine)

    hope this helps a bit

Have you started your PC or resumed it from standby/hibernate?

Your TVPlugin throws a 0 ref. exception for some reason....

I think you have some issue with TV groups:

    Code:

Issue with tv groups.... hmm.. i did try to remove the all channels group. In the setup tool the group disappeared, but when i restarted the setup tool the group reexits. Can that be the problem?

I found the problem! I removed the "All Channels" group for the radio channels, but mediaportal cannot handle this at line 3718 of TVHome.cs
I readded this group and it is working now.

could this be related to the "groups section not working" bug we had in TV-Server Conf. ?
I think to remember that you said that to fix this issue, we have to drop the db?

Ghose is working on that, afaik.

The issue is that "All channels" is handled in a different way between Radio and Tv :(
So if you delete it, it's a issue with current code.

I ran into this same problem. After adding Radio channels, the tv channels disapeared - and the radio channels didn't even work because they are not mapped to any group per default.

The All Channels group for Radio channels simply does not exist default. I did not delete any groups.

After manually creating "All Channels" for radio channels and adding my radio channels to that group, then both radio and tv works.

This was on virgin XP system install of Alpha 1.1.0.
