TV-Out: MP & Movie? (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: XP pro
Video Card: GeForce440MX
TV: S-Video out to standard TV

Hiho,
i cannot setup MP so that i can control MP on my TV and watch Films on it.
When i start MP i see the Interface on my PC-Screen and on my TV, but when i start a movie i see the desktop on tv and the film on the monitor, after the movie it switches back.
This happens with the Internal Player.

I also tried it with vlc as external player:
Parameters: -I dummy --dummy-quiet --video-on-top --key-quit "s" %filename% vlc:quit

if i start vlc manually i have fullscreen videooutput on both screens.
if i start a movie via MP i dont see the movie! nowhere! -> after switching "MP stay on top" off, i see the movie on TV, BUT i dont longer see the Interface on tv bevore and after playing the movie -.-

my pc monitor is primary.

i think the main issue is that the primary device is your monitor, i think if you changed the tv to your primary and the monitor as a secondary device you will have less issues overall

I had the same problem also and it is an issue with the monitor mapping. My tv is upstairs and my computer is downstairs so I can't have the tv as the primary all the time but in my catylst control center I could hotkey display swapping to ctrl+d and make that a key on my remote.Once the displays were switched the movies would show up on the primary display.
