I'm using the standard mediaportal tv - not tv-server. This has worked flawlessly for months - suddenly yesterday no signal - tried scanning for signals - no luck...
Using Terratec 2400i - windows says there is no problem with it...

Living in Denmark - anyone else with same problem???

*EDIT* Solution: Relocated tunercard to second slot - re-installed drivers and then it worked... I'm VERY curious to learn why it stopped working and then started working again after relocation to 2nd slot...

This is odd - today the problem reappeared... Was watching a video, switched to tv and bam - no tv... Anyone have any idea what causes this problem???

Where would you like to start.

Either a corrupt XP installation (good news), bad\faulty connection motherboard (bad) or faulty TV Card (bad).

Worthwhile checking for any overheat problems (not normally associated with PCI cards, unless graphic related).

The easiest way to test is with its own software, if that works fine, then may be a problem with MP\.Net2\DirectX, more info please on whether it works with any other software.

Will try the software that came with card later (am at work right now) - It is odd, though - the card shows up in device manager and is stated as functioning correctly... Heat issues - well, my htpc is mainly passively cooled (mCubed enclosure) with temps reacing 45-50 C routinely; but the problem persists even after a cold start (before there is possibility of heat build-up)...

Tried installing the tvserver/client plugin (couldn't find version 2, only 3.0 SVN) - this totally f**ked my setup, so i'm looking at a total re-install... The server found the card - when scanning for channels found none (same behaviour as MP exhibited) So far i haven't installed the patch for dual-dvb-t thats recomended elsewhere in these forums - could this cause the problem to suddenly appear??? Or perhaps it's one of the m$ updates thats caused a change...

Tried the included terratec software today - no luck...

Will do a total re-install and hope its a XP problem and not MB/add-on card problem...

Oh yeah - just remembered - the problem began a few days after i installed an old adaptec duoconnect card - have now removed that and hope for the best...

Will report back with info on the end result...

Terratec card sent in for RMA... Bugger....
