Hi there,
I'm happy to announce a new flavour of the TV Recordings plugin which I call TV Recordings with suggestions. It's a subproject where dvdfreak's rule based Tv Scheduler is connected my TV Recordings GUI.
The basic idea of this integration is to display the TV Scheduler's suggestions inside MediaPortal (via the TV Recordings plugin) and let the user select certain suggestions for recording. This integration does not aim to provide a rule editor for creating the suggestion rules. This still needs to be done via the TV Scheduler management console or its web interface. It's supposed that rule creation and editing doesn't need to be done very often.
Although the current version is an "experimental prototype" you should be able to use it without problems.
Installation
========
1. Make sure that .NET 3.0 is installed on your system
2. Download and install the "TvScheduler Service" and the "Management Console" (Version 1.0.14.0)
3. Extract the TV Recordings's ZIP (you will find it attached to this message) file into the MediaPortal installation directory
4. Copy files from the "Management Console"'s installation directory into the MediaPortal installation directory: TvScheduler.ServiceAgents.dll, TvScheduler.ServiceContracts.dll, TvScheduler.Entities.dll
5. Start the MediaPortal configuration and open the "TV Recordings" configuration dialog. Check "Use TV-Scheduler" and optionally set the connection parameters. You should test the connection to the TV Scheduler using the button "Test".
6. Make sure that the channel names which are managed by TV Scheduler are exactly the same as the channel names of MediaPortal.
7. That's it: Suggestions with are defined in the TV Scheduler are now listed by the TV Recording.
Thanks to dvdfreak for his support and to thdbased for the idea!
Have fun.
