Hi,

I noticed my computer only goes into sleep when media portal is on home screen
This is good because if you are playing music the pc will go to sleep afther a while.
The problem is when I'm on home screen and I put my tv in stand by with his remote (philips lcd)
mediaportal seems to get the infrared signal and goes to radio screen,
because of this the pc never goes to sleep.

Any idea what I can do about this?
Best sollution seems to train mediaportal not to react to the infared signal: tv to stand by
(all other buttons of my tv remote don't do anything in mediaportal)

Are you using the Hauppauge remote, with the receiver connected to the TV card? I had a similar problem with my Hauppauge receiver picking up the signal from my Samsung TV remote and doing weird things in MP. I tried all sorts of things, but solved it in the end by using a Microsoft remote with USB receiver rather than the Hauppauge one. This has the added benefit that the remote will wake the computer up from standby.

I suppose a quick fix for you could be to remove the "go to radio screen" command from the remote setup in MP, if that's the only time you get the problem. You will still be able to get to radio (if you use it) through the menu, just not with the "radio" button on the remote.
