TV says "No Data Available" (1 Viewer)

I am a new user. When I run MP and choose TV it says "No Data Available" and there is no picture. I am using a Pinnacle tuner and Windows XP. What is the problem please?

Not sure what you are saying.

It sounds like you are going in to the TV Guide (in which case if you have not setup a way of loading EPG data then it will show no data available). That and the OSD will display the current EPG data when watching a channel so again if no EPG data is there it will show no data available.

In the TV section of the config app you can select turn on tv / directly show fullscreen TV options, are either of these set?
If not when you press TV from the home menu you will get taken to the TV menu (but TV will not be active)
If this is the case you need to press the TV on button

Whatever the problem you will get more help if you provide more explicit details of what you are doing and what the issue is as well as attaching logs

I am trying to watch live TV, not use the TV guide. First, I did not set these "In the TV section of the config app you can select turn on tv" / directly show fullscreen TV options".
Like you said, when I press TV from the home menu I am taken to the TV menu (but TV is not active). I press the green TV on button but I get no TV picture. It says "No data available".

Then I went to MP configuration and set both of these "select turn on tv when started" / directly show fullscreen TV options". Now when I run MP I don't get any menu or error message, I just get the blue skin screen. Still there is no TV picture.

I don't know what log you want. Can you please explain how I do that?

Have you tuned in your TV channels in the TV server configuration yet?

I am using a USB Pinnacle Tuner. I don't know what a tuner hybrid card is. I went to the link you gave and looked at the screen shots. On my TV-cards screen it lists 5 cards (tuners?) just like the screen shot. However, all of my cards say CAM = No. What does that mean?

Last night I went to MP Config and a Database setting screen appeared for the first time. I chose the My SQL option and when I clicked the Test button it said this error message:

"Connection failed!
Adding the given count to the semaphore would cause it to exceed the maximum count."

Then I chose the MS SQL option and when I clicked the Test button it said this error message:

"Connection error. Server was not found or was not accessible.
error -26 connection"
