Hello,

sorry for posting that, but i hope you could help me with this problem. I'm about to get crazy with this... *grml*

My Setup worked fine with TV-Engine 2 and also works fine with my other PC using TV-Server/Engine3.
But on my Server PC, where MediaPortal TV-Server is supposed to be installed, there is a VERY BIG problem with scanning channels.

My TV-Card is detected by MediaPortal and I do all the same steps like I did on my other PC with TVServer3 but on my Server-PC I am not able to find any channel at all!!

It starts scanning and it finishes with scanning very fast (a lot faster than normally) because on every frequency i get a "No Signal" message. I've installed and deinstalled the hole sh*t a lot of times, hoping to get rid of this problem, but it didn't help. I also reinstalled the TV-Card drivers, checked cables and so on...

Now my last hope is your great expertise... Probably one of the experts could help me, please?? i tried to make some loggings, but i don't know, if they contain the information you need... so don't mind asking me, if i forgot something.

Thanks for your great work and your help in advance,
RoL

judging from the error.log it looks tv3 is not installed correctly
It fails to load some directshow filters delivered with tv3.
    try to
    1. open command prompt
    2. cd to the tvserver folder
    3. regsvr32 tswriter.ax
    4. regsvr32 mpfilewriter.ax
    5. regsvr32 tsfilesource.ax
    6. regsvr32 tsreader.ax

if that succeeds, restart the tvservice and try again

Same problem, different setup - Help?

Should I start a new thread?

Well, the same thing happens to me: channel scan starts, but is far too fast (considering) and finds no channels although MP does. (Looked up requirements for the ATI All-in-wonder in MP >card worked fine after setting up in MP > removed the card in MP, etc.)

    My setup:
    MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0 RC1
    MediaPortal SVN: MediaPortal-svn--08-12-2007--01-00-Rev15504.exe
    TV engine: tvengine3-08-12-2007--01-22h--Rev15504
    Windows Version: Windows XP SP2
CPU Type: Intel Pentium 4, 1.80 GHz
Video Card: ATi All-in-Wonder X800GT (Analogue s/w encoding))
    Video Card Driver: Catalyst 7.4
    HDD: Seagate, 80 GB
    Memory: 512 MB, DDR
    Motherboard: Microstar, MSI MS-6513
    Motherboard Chipset: Intel i845D
    Motherboard Bios: Award Modular v.6.00PG
    Sound Card: CMedia CMI8738

I attached the .log-files. Hope someone can help? Thanks!

EDIT: I already tried regsvr32 ...ax as given above, to no avail... EDIT
