Setting up the TV Server to use UNC paths for timeshift, causes server preview (and client viewing) to fail. It shows an error " Preview failed: No disk space available". The UNC paths are to shares on the same PC (the server). Changing the settings to point to the same folder as a local path works fine.

I've used UNC paths in the past, for my server settings, so I can use the non-rtsp mode & allow commercial skip to work on recordings when viewed at the clients.

Attached are logs, attempting preview at the server, using both UNC & local paths.

Just tried public SVN 23652 (Sept. 17), and problem is fixed. Thanks Morpheus.

    I can confirm this issue.

It has been introduced by the free disk space check. it uses driver letters, this will fail for UNC. I'll fix this ;)

I have the same problem on the actual 1.1.0 beta, that I downloaded today...
Can you point me to any version, where this problem is fixed?

    Hi morpheus,
I can't see MP code for the moment but, if I remember, mechanism used is something like Utils.GetFreeDiskSpace wich effectively use drive letter.
Therefore, disk quota also use it, that's why I decided to use same.
If it can help a bit...
Cause I worked on free disk space and maybe I caused this problem, I could resolve this issue, in some times, if needed.
    Bye.

already fixed. And I modified the GetFreeDisk space function so it handles UNC paths also.

please be patient until the next public svn build is released.

for developers it's possible to check out latest sources from svn, there is the fix included
