tv server configuration (1 Viewer)

Hi there
Im new to media portal
just installed it and reading through the installation and set up guild it says "When starting the configuration for the first time you are asked for the database password which you chose
during the installation (default is MediaPortal). Enter it and click Yes in the next popup to start the TV service.

Well i didnt enter a password during instalation , it says the default password is "mediaportal"
It automaticaly puts in a username of "sa" and i try using the "mediaportal password but it always shows "connection failed, login failed for user.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi Dave

Bear in mind that the password is case sensitive. I believe it has to be entered as "MediaPortal".

There is another question i would like to ask if anybody can shine some light on it for me.
I want to use media portal and run it through a touchscreen which i am going to flush fit into my living room wall.
I can at the moment do just about everything i need to do just using the scroll buttons except ajust the volume.
I have looked in the settings and config menu to try to bring up a on screen volume control, but cant find any .is this possible or will i have to use the remote.
