Hi, I have a tv server and multiple clients, the tv server crashes frequently, also when no client is connected, so I will not discuss the clients.
My server is based on a asrock 775i6g mainboard, e6400 CPU, 2GB DDR1 Ram 80GB OS disk and 2TB disk for recording and timeshift, tvcards: Terratec cinergy c PCI-HD and a hauppauge 500MCE, I have configured my cardreader (phoenix) to be used with mediaportal properly .I am using MP 1.1.0.0, MySQL 5.1 on a windows 7 Ultimate 32bits sytem.
Frist of all It usualy takes me 3 times of starting and closing NewCS before is "registers" the card properly and says:card 0604 on port com3 ready, the 2 times before it says it has failed. Also the TVservice sometimes chrashes, I have enabled to restart the serve 2 times after it chrashes. SometimesIt doesnot seem to react at all. When I try to restart the tv service it sometimes doesnt react and I have to kill the process in order to have tvserver to react again, during the time of not reacting I get no nw entries in NewCs, during restart the tvservice I do get entiers for logging out and in of user1.
It came to my attention that with grabbing the DVB Guide it doesnt allways gives the description of the tv program when I know there is one (I checked on my stand-alone dvb-c receiver), After a complete fresh install of mediaportal, mysql and newcs it start showing the programmdescription, but after a week or so it doesn't anymore for all programs, but for some it does. So I thought to restart the MYsql service, It says tv-service is dependend on it, but it isnt able to restart the tvservice when I ask it to.
Sometimes it makes my pc crash and reboot, after wich it usually works fine for some time...
Sometimes it works after I end the procestree of tvservice.exe, sometimes not, most of the time it works to have the complete machine reboot...
Sometimes the tv-service is still running, but when I try to timeshift on the dvb-c card it gets an unknown error had occurred.
I must say that, when it works it works perfectly, also the available HD channels, the clients work fine as well (recorded prgroams, video files, pictures, tv etc)
I have included some logs from around a crash.
I am aware of mentioning newcs and a cardreader, plse let me know if what I have mentioned it nog allowed, I am not sure after reading the forum rules
