Every time I try to record something from the TV (UK Freeview), I get an error message that TVService.exe has crashed unexpectedly. This seems to happen usually after around 25 minutes of recording. *Edit* It also crashes as soon as it starts up when rebooting the computer and there is no active recording.

I've tried reinstalling MediaPortal and even the Microsoft SQL server but with no success.

Can anyone help me please because it happens every single time I record and MediaPortal is now useless...

Thanks

Have you done the modification recommended on the hauppauge forum, windows has changed the way usb devices are handled in Service pack 3 and they are screwing up anyone with xp and t500.

    trying to find link now.

No I've not tried that. In fact, I knew nothing about it. Will be great if you can find the link...

    Thanks for the quick reply

Thanks for the posts. I eventually worked out what the cause was...

The drivers for the card must have gotten corrupted so I reinstalled the card with the latest ones. It's worked perfectly since.
