Hi,

I've got a big problem with the tv-server. It doesnt show any servers in the mangement console. The tv-card works fine with mediaportal and dvbviewer. I use SQL-server 2005 express and reinstalled it several times. Also I tried different mediaportal and tv-server versions. No success at all.

My tv-log:

14.09.2007 16:27:43 1 ---- start setuptv ----
14.09.2007 16:27:43 1 ---- check connection with database ----
14.09.2007 16:27:44 1 ---- check if database needs to be updated/created ----
14.09.2007 16:27:44 1 ---- check if tvservice is running ----

I hope you can help me.

regards

Zoidberg

I duobt this is helpful, Z0idberg, but I have had the same thing happen every time I've (re)installed the TV Server.

My fix is to go to the services console, mark the TV Services as "automatic" start, then cold boot the system. So far, after finding it by trial-and-error the first time, this has worked every time.

If this works for you, we might have stumbled onto something, but tbh I wouldn't hold out much hope..

i run into the same problme from time to time. but it is not reproduceable....

    1. uninstall TV-Server
    2. delete the database with the Management Util from your SQL-Server
    3. install TV-Server again
    4. then it works
