TV Server issues: So close, but not quite. (1 Viewer)

Hi guys, i continue my efforts into getting the TV Server options working correctly.
If i scan for Channels in the TV Server for my location (Australia) the scan takes 0.1 second, only to tell me no new channels found.
The analogue scan fails just as badly, however it actually seems to try and scan something, as it takes 30 seconds to complete

In the legacy Media Portal Setup, i can scan for channels, they are detected as normal.
But the new TV Server Setup, despite seeing my cards doesn't seem to do anything with them.

If i delete the TV card from the Media Portal Setup (Config Panel) as suggested in the Video for TVServer, I recieve a message when Media Portal is opened:

My Radio
All Tuners are busy.

(Which is bizzare, because in the TV Server setup, i get a message that this device does not support radio, when i scan for channels)

The Devices are detected as

1 DVB-T BDA 7162 - BDA DVBT Tuner0
2 DVB-T BDA 7162 - BDA DVBT Tuner1
3 Analogue BDA 7162 - BDA Analog TV Tuner0
4 Analogue BDA 7162 - BDA Analog TV Tuner1

But it seems they don't find any channels, or work in TV Server.

If i then go to My TV i recieve the message (No Tuner Cards Installed),. (Obviosuly because i deleted them from the MP setup as instructed)
And this would seem to be using the legacy Tuner MP engine. (Not TV server)

As I also don't have the TV Streaming Option that is mentioned in the Video
which is meant to be under TV when using TV server..

Any ideas what all this means, as i'm stumped...??

That's because you need to install the TV Server Plugin, the tv server download contains 2 installers, 'setup.msi' is for the tv server itself, 'setupplugin.msi' is for the plugin which replaces the original 'My TV' plugin that uses the legacy tv engine. (You can revert back to the legacy plugin by uninstalling the tv server plugin through the add/remove programs control panel if need be)

If this is a hybrid card please set them up according to the wiki!

NO. STOP. if it is a hybrid card (it looks the same as mine), do not put the card in groups. unless this has been fixed recently (and not posted on the change list) adding hybrid cards to groups will break the setup and you will not be able to use them until they are removed from the group. in-fact, that may be your problem, make sure the cards are not in a group.

by the way, I would be very interested if you can get analogue, I think I may have the same card, cant make it work and cant find anybody that knows anything.

I did indeed need to install the client plugin again, (DOH!) I logged on and it connected to the TV Server. And i now have the newer options like streaming.

However... Because as i mentioned above the channel scan in TV server for my area, just doesn't scan the ERROR.LOG i have pasted the full 10k error log created when i hit scan on Tuner0 below, in the hope it helps someone workout whats going on....,

Why would scanning in the MP setup work, and TV Sever not?

Scanning in the legacy Media Portal Setup, works fine...
I have recorded HD 720p from the ABC via Schedule, so i know that it works too.
(This is under XP64, so who says it couldn't be done...

It seems no matter what i do now, it says All Tuners are Busy, regardless of how many are enabled or disabled.

I have changed to a Hyrbrid group setup as suggested above and on the Wiki, it made no difference, i still have no channels found, and when loading MP, i receive a popup message on screen saying "My Radio -All Tuners Are Busy." I have tried entering a channel's details manually, but i still cannot get it to work..

I'm really running out of ideas.

Does someone know if the problem of groups for hybrid cards has been solved recently?
Tried three or four days ago, but it wasn't solved yet.
Has ever been added to Mantis?

Does anyone know if the TV Server and MP, both use DVBT.xml for their scanning frequency?

I'm trying to workout why the scan works in Media Portal, but not in TV Server 0.3.
I'm starting to think i may just have to go back to MP, and forget TV Server for awhile.

Yes, it depends on dvbt.xml also for tvserver

It looks to me that your having trouble with the TSWriter Direct Show filter a quick google of COM 0x80040154 led to a bunch of MediaPlayer errors relating to corrupt codecs.
