TV Server management console hangs up on certain actions (1 Viewer)

If for example you go to Manual Control and hit stop service, the program becomes very very slow and not very responsive. If you go to other areas of the program they don't respond properly, in fact.

Another example. Go to TV Channels and hit Clear. It makes the program lock up for around ten minutes or so.

That's because the controlpanel requires a running service. I have the exact same problem since my service keeps "crashing" and thus making it impossible to use.

It doesn't make sense to turn the service off completely then-Devs-why not just send it a command that makes it inactive (not recording, not viewing, completely idle in other words) instead of shutting the whole thing down while you're in the console?
