Everything was running fine until one night I discovered that I could no longer watch TV3 and C4 (both supplied by the same company). I thought this was strange but i started up tv-server so i could tune them back in and be able to watch them again. While i was doing this tv-server stopped responding and closed down, which has happened a few times in the past so i thought nothing of it. I then tried to open it again and i got the dialog box that pops up when you try to run it for the first time: Tv service is not running, start it now? I clicked yes and nothing happened so i tried opening it again and the same thing happened again, the dialog box pops up and nothing happens when i click yes. Finally after about 10 minutes of brainstorming what to try i get the attached error message popping up twice (once for each time i tried to open tv-server config).
Confused i just decided to completely uninstall and then reinstall everything again. I did this but tv server is still doing the exact same thing. MediaPortal works fine, I just can't watch any tv with it.
The uninstall process says it completely removes everything - registry entries etc - but I think something has to be left lurking around to be producing the exact same error when i do a reinstall.
Is there anything you can think of that I can try to get this working. I have thought about reinstalling windows but I really don't want to do that.
Cheers
