Okay, I have the logfiles.

Ive been trying to get MP to work on my computer for about a week now. Everything installs without a hitch...but I cannot configure the tv server becuase nothing shows up under TV servers in the tv server configuration...I opened all the ports necessary...and I have the SQL server thing set up with the password I just dont know what else to do...I have a headache over this program, I really want to use it for my HTPC/Gaming rig...

Some help?

Please, I am even willing to do a Teamviewer with someone so they can set this up for me!

    Hi.
    You're running multiseat, I take it (dedicated PC for TVServer and dedicated Client).
    Could you also supply some screenshots of TVServer config?

    This line seems to keep on returing in TVServer error log:

    I dont know...

    What is a multiseat? I am only using this computer to watch tv...the tuner card is in this computer.

    I will post SS. But, there is nothing special happening when i open it....the program runs fine...just, nothing shows up under tv servers...

    I made new logs today after i restarted the comp....

    hopefully, these help more..

    TV Server could not connect to the sql database. This is your problem i think.

    1) Did you rename your PC after the setup of TV SErver? If so, it is impossible for TV Server to connect to the sql database. (Only choose the old name and it should work again)
    2) While starting the TV SERver config for the first time, you're asked about the passwort (MySQL connection setup) After typing the password "MediaPortal" und pressing the test button did you see all fields with green backround?

    Plz install TVServer again and make sure all fields went green after pressing the test button (MySQL connection setup) . Then save the database setup and it should work.

    Okay, well its nice to see that noone in this community is willing to help someone attempting to use this software. I will just uninstall this garbage and use something else.

    I'm really sorry that you are having problems, but considering your attitude, I think a full refund is better than further support.
