    Hi there :)

Go to MP Configuration and DESelect the Start in FullScreen option (just for now).
Then start the Logs Collector from start menu and follow steps to Clean old logs and to Start MP.
    Simulate the problem.
When MP hangs, use your Windows Task Manager to kills the mediaportal.exe task.
The logs collector should do the rest and create a zip file on your desktop.
    Attach it here.

i have the same problem. i can view channels in preview mode but cannot watch within MP.
i can record tv and play back with windows media player but i cannot playback within media portal.

is this because my tv card does not support hardware encoding ? even though i have windvr 3 installed.

    any help greatly appreciated,

also, i am fairly new to mediaportal and its forums so apologies if i do not post correctly.
