Tv Server - wake up my computer please!! (1 Viewer)

Can someone please confirm whether tv server is able to wake up my computer when it's on stand-by to perform a scheduled recording. I read somewhere that this is now possible. How?

I've done the following:

1. I re-installed the very latest versions of mediaportal, svn edition, tv server etc.. tonight
2. I enabled the Mediaportal power scheduler plugin

My computer isn't waking up to do the recording!

When I do wake my computer up, it also tells me that "TV Server is not running.." how do I get this to run permanently like it should?

Hi,
Nope it's not implemented yet, use old MP engine for that.

Ok, thanks for the quick response. I'll just sit tight until it's possible, TV Sever seems brilliant otherwise.

Do I have to delete everything (tv server etc) and start again to use a an older version of MP or can I just install the stable release MP on its own to another folder and use separately?

Hi,
I use to folders for MP & rename them when testing TVE3 or MP old engine, i do uninstall TV server & plugin each time, but i don't delete any databases. So when running TVE 3 I just have to install program & plugin (if not anything db related has change which mean i have to search & setup channels again)

Ok, that's great, I'll do the same!

I think I'll use the old MP for now until Tv server is finalised. I don't even watch that much TV anyhow!

The problem with TV server not running after resume should be fixed in the latest svn 13019 regarding to Frodo from this post:

I haven't tried it yet. Yes it's a good thing to keep SQL databse so you only need to reinstall the plugins whn testing the new engine.

frodo did things which are much more complicated then waking the computer for recording. All that is needed to be done is to always put the next recoding as a Windows Schedualed Task.
