I'm running into an issue with getting the tv working on media portal. I have my media center set up behind my cable box. I know I need to get the ir working in order to change the channel on cable box but right now I am unable to get anything to display at all.
I have my cable box on and set to a channel that I know displays something because it works when I hook my tv to the coax cable. I did the auto scan on the Media Portal Setup and it found two channels 3 and 48. I know that channel 3 is what my tv needs to be set to to get the signal from the cable box, but when I go to "my tv" (in media portal) the screen is black like it's not getting a signal. Is there some extra configuration I need to do to the channel 3 to get it to display something? Changing frequency or something?
