There are many people with the same problem.
Can someone tell me if there is a solution for this problem?
It is not possible to watch TV for more then 10min - 15min !!

I have posted this issue some time ago, but nobody gives an answer.
Is this a known problem? Are there any walk arounds? Will there be a fix in near future?

As I wrote before there are no logs when the timeshift-file is changing.
Here are all my logs (did the same 2 times).

I can confirm this issue here too. The stuttering (video only, audio is normally) caused by creating or accessing the next timeshift-file still exists :-(( No difference, if timeshift-files are on system-hdd or on separate (empty and therefore not fragmented) hdd or with increased size (1024 MB). This problem was already noticeable in the last svn's, but i still didn't find or hear / read any solution.

    Code:

    2008-06-29 01:47:29.086898 [Info.][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:render TsReader outputs

I would suggest you to try to put the timeshifting files on local HD.

As i posted a responses to this in one of the other threads, to this day i still can not reproduce this on any of my test machines.

Dual P3 to Quad AMD 285 ,VISTA and XPsp3, Wired and wifi.

I am not saying that those experiencing this aren't but we need to see if there are any similarities between these problematic systems (software running or hardware) that could be causing this.

Are any of you running realtime antivirus software that could be triggered into something odd by the constant file access that the buffer causes? try exempting the folder and/or file type from the antivirus checker.

More detailed information the better (avoid verbose responses please)

I told my antivirus not to scan the timeshift-folder, problem still exists. As you can see, my system should really be fast enough to serve this filecreating, the folder is at local hdds. And if i compare the short hanging of Video, it happens at the same minute, as the timeshift-files are created (see screenshot). I attached my logs, maybe it hlps analyzing. System is wired, no WLAN. Please help.

Buffer don't but that on the drive C: if you have another drive put it on there. Make exception on that file and don't have the AV check it or scan it. Make sure you also defrag that drive with the buffer file on it.
